nukldrager says, "...sivere... I'm sure your hearts in the right place, but I'm not going to a site that says "take back the fed" because we never had the fed. The fed belongs to the bankers, and the gov, and they're not going to let anybody take it away from them. ..."

What you say may be true, but we still have the constitution, and it allows Congress to create the fed and "take it back". We need to get Congress to act. This is not a democracy. We do not have a direct referendum. We can only get our representatives to act.

Why Did the Mortgage Market Go Out of Control?

Ultimately it is because congress delegated its constitutional power and responsibility to maintain currency and credits to the Fed. The Fed allowed the mortgage industry to be turned into a gigantic casino.

Our Energy Efficient Economy Can Handle $112 Oil

The only goo that will come out of the high petroleum prices is that we will defvelop alternate enrgy sources:

1. Coal- both bulk and liquifaction;
2. Nuclear- fission and possibly breeder, possibly fusion.
3. Other- solar, wind tidal etc.

Let's forget about the speculation on global warming and start developing these resources now.
