Crocs: It's the Product, Not the Economy
crocs has terrible management , first no inventory, then production of huge amount of product and then they go into a style change and make the product obsolete.

crocs problem not shoes, i loved them very comfortable.. it is the managers of the company..

UBS Analyst: Survey Shows 3G iPhone Poses Little Threat to BlackBerry
the corporate world is not going to change from blackberry. IT are not risk folks. nor are corporate executives.. they have a blackberry that handles all their communications and functions . why would they change over to an unknown and at an expense with sales crashing around them. i doubt rimm has much competition from mid to large corporations.

Can Offshore Drilling Bring Down Gas Prices?
"potential negative impact on tourism" you lost me after that statement. no way could you ever see the drill rigs off shore they are talking a mimimum of 50 miles off shore. You have no idea of what may lay off shore for oil , only estimates from decades ago and we need to drill to determine if profitable. Let's not look at bringing prices down and look at security issues. put the oil produced into storage in case of shortages, sell only in united states the excess if any, and build up a tax that will provide for potential major oil spill. With a fund built ahead of drilling states should be relieved of having a financial determents.

Exxon Joins Competitors in Moving Away from Gas Station Ownership
its interesting ceo gets called up in front congress committee and blamed for all the gasoline problems and comes back and releases news we are pulling out of retail gasoline business. No more harrassment from big govenment, neighbors who blame oil companies, boycotts that are stupid, and of course the web message boards on cospiracies. Gone will be the good jobs these corporations held, the great benefits and the ability to react to emergencies during hurricane preparations, cold snaps, etc.
I doubt distributors will pay their employees the same pay packages as big oil. I foresee big oil next pulling out of wholesale distribution , selling of terminal, pipelines, barges, and refineries.

Oil Companies Paid More Than Bottom 75% of Taxpayers
it states corp tax,, but i wonder if they include in this tax,, all the tax they collect at the gas pump we pay for federal , state or local taxes as taxes paid under corp income. no breakout of taxes paid.

this is not a tax on oil industry and they i assume get a service fee for collecting these taxes and passing them on.. in other words they make money collecting taxes.

Solar Symbiosis: Making a Clean Break
we are not moving fast enough on electric cars. there should be larger incentives to get more of the commuter to trade in there care earlier. i have no idea of per cent of commuters that could drop buying gasoline and have it pay for over night charge to batteries. If break even we still when if the offset is less pollution. then again no idea about disposal of batteries or recycle. Does anyone know if an electric car is cheaper then buying $4. gas if your commute is less than forty miles each way?

Peco in my area is not a cheap provider of electricity and is looking for increases all the time.

GE's Dismal Earnings a Warning for Other Medical Device Companies
we heard the same thing prior to the last quarter and isrg blew away the estimates.. these hospitals if to compete for clients must have the robot or people will go to another hospital. there are several in philly and because of it. several more have been installed in the suburbs at local hospitals to keep business from moving into center city. All these machines can be leased vs purchased outright by isrg which has plenty of cash on hand to finance these robots. ge problems are not isrg problems.
