I just spoke to the Oil genie.

She told me tomorrow marks the beginning of the end of the great oil boom this decade.

Oil will go down to less than hundred dollars a barrel in 6 months.

Preparing for the Fall

Irrespective of whether a market goes up, down or sideways you can make money.

Thet theory that you buy and hold for the long term is gone.

I have no loyalty to any particular stock or sector. On a given day or set of days I invest only in sectors and stocks that are on an upswing.

Since I started following a short term oriented trading strategy I have realized a gain of 65% in just the last 2 months.

I plan to make money no matter which direction the market goes. I really don't care where the market ends -- I just plan to enjoy the ride and make money.

Give me a break! Someone farts in Kuwait and oil prices are up 1.25%! The traders are running out of logic for keeping oil rally going! I see bad things to come -- really bad things to come for oil bulls. Oil below $100 a barrell in 6 months!

How quickly we become prophets of doom?!

Same statements were made during last recession and are being made now.

Oil prices will fall to $90 a barrel by end of year. Airlines will recover. Air travel will see its peak again. Investment in alternative energy cools. And then the cycle reverses but for now good time are around the corner.

What's Up With Apple's Downturn?

Great stock battered for no reason other than "run for the hills!" mentality.

Will bounce back tomorrow at least 5 bucks. Great time to buy right now in the AH for either short term trade (at least 5 bucks per share profit) or buy and hold for the long term.

SunPower Buy Opportunity?

What I don't understand is where does FSLR stand in comparison to SunPower? What is FSLR's efficiency? I have always heard that FSLR has proproetary technology that is far ahead of the rest of the crowd and also that when it comes to waste material and recycling their stuff is "recyclable" and has zero environmental consequences.

DirecTV: Surging Stock Price, Plenty of Potential

DTV has a on-demand channel in Beta where you can browse from thousands of movies and pick one to watch on demand. It needs the DTV receiver connected to high speed Internet. I was thinking of buying the Apple TV until I saw this and why would I now need another box, another remote, to an already complicated setup? I have now a flat screen TV, Bose amplifier and speakers, Blueray DVD, DTV reciever, etc., etc., and adding one more component requires much thought.

Why Can't Microsoft Close the Deal?

Very disappointing what has happened with Microsoft here. They have taken a proud company (Yahoo) and monkeyed around with it needlessly without having the courage to do the deal and get it over with. What a bunch of nitwits?! I regret that I bought any MSFT stock and am waiting for an opportune time to dump it. The days of greatness are over for MSFT.

Credit Card Spending on the Global Rise

Hi V Winner:

I have been reading your posts, made an investment in Visa, and paid off very well. I also made an investment in MA and it paid off very well too.

The question is V can't run forever because ultimately every stock is guided by hard revenue numbers and profits. V has indicated 11-12% growth. The market cap of V has to correspond to these revenue numbers and it just can't go up forever unless of course the revenue and profit numbers go up at a dizzying pace.

When you say V will reach $300 can you shed some light on the numbers that you are twirling around so that I feel safe with V over the longer run?

Also I fail to understand the logic why anyone would buy LLNW. In the other referenced article you (the author) states that AKAM will come after you only if you gain traction. So you are saying Level 3 should acquire LLNW and start getting traction such that AKAM will come and shut them down? That is a brilliant business move! What am I missing here?

I am confused.

If LLNW is going to be shut down what is the point in talking about all that they are doing? I heard from a source that LLNW is telling their shareholders and customers that there is no way that AKAM can win an injunction against them. Can the author (or someone) please shed light on the topic of LLNW's network continuing to exist after the patent suit loss to AKAM?
