  • The Pitfalls of Using Inverse ETFs
I use the ultras when stocks are going up. Stocks tend to go up slowly while going down rapidly making the ultra shorts something to stay away from.

  • Dennis Gartman: Go Long Infrastructure, Short Everything Else
I like Gartman for short term trades but not for long term. I expect steel and commodites to continue down and most other stocks to go up or stay the same this year.

  • Gold Poised to Move Higher
Gold going up? Wheres the inflation? Gold is over priced in a deflation. After the last deflation (1930s), it took 40 years for inflation to appear. I hope you are young.

Also dont forget gold never goes up. It bought a suit of clothes in 1500 and it still does.

  • Nine Reasons This Recession Is Welcome
Very good article. Yes these downturns are needed corrections and this one will completely turn the shape of the economy around. Its also too bad that the govd.refuses to not meddle in the market. They always make it worse and prolong the correction.

  • Treasuries Will Disappoint- Continued
A good article giving both sides of the bond debate. However I disagree with the conclusion. It seems to me that this will last many years with very low interest rates and no inflation. Bonds will be the best investment for a long time.

  • Prophet Bernanke Plans for Inflation
Deflation and inflation are caused by long term inbalences. They can only be cured by the market. The govd. is really quite unable to cure them. The govd. can only make the imbalences worse and prolong the problem. Roosevelt showed this. He was unable to end the depression. In 1939 over 20% of the workers were still unemployed.

Obama the genius will follow Roosevelt.

  • China Is Looking Fragile
China is similar to the US in the 1930s. Some people went hungary but most people made it. At the end of the depression the US became the strongest country in the world by freeing Europe.

    Dont put China down.
