Basically, communities can start their own utilities, can seize PSE's (subsidiary of PSD) hardware and provide electricity from the Bonneville Power hydroelectric grid at a cheaper price.

Ostensibly this is because they object to foreign ownership. MacQuarie is Australian (?).

PSD thinks this customer revolt is serious. It might kill the deal.

Today's True Safe Haven Investments

When the author cites "huge above ground " gold reserves, he should also give the link or source for this statement.

1) How much is above ground?
2) What is the yearly or monthly consumption rate?
3) What is the yearly or monthly production rate?

Some charts or spreadsheets would help alot.

I can't find any confirmation of the earnings pct increases claimed in the article.

100%, 83%, 93%, 81%, 12%, and 59%?

Without the source, they seem wildly unlikely.

Coal Investors Partying Like It's 1999

I'm trying to correlate these articles.

The first says Japan pays $250 per ton for metallurgical coal.
The second says Northern Appalachian metallurgical coal sells for $110 per ton.

Does that mean it costs $140 per ton to ship to Japan? Or does this mean Japan's scarcity might soon cause ANR's precious coal to double in price?
