  • Will Apple's Q1 2009 Revenue Estimates Be a Blowout?
    The "bear bubble" of 2008!
Maybe the analysts are suppressing the price of the stock on purpose until the iPhone revenues take over earnings. When they have billions of dollars in their funds, they can afford to wait until 2010. At that time there will be so much pressure on the stock it just blows up and then "cha ching". They can't keep it down forever.
I will be looking forward to your data.

  • Is Apple More Undervalued Than Other Tech Sector Stocks?
Lead us to the promise land oh great Andy Zaky. These commandments we will obey. No longer shall we worship the golden cow of GOOG and RIMM, the voice in the sky hath spoken.

Seriously, good article, especially about what to do with $110 billion.

  • Was the iPhone Deal Worth It for AT&T?
It will not be long for the increased revenue from the iPhone to help ATT. Remember they increased their fee's and that will, over the term of the contract, more than pay for the subsidy. Throw in an excellent dividend and this stock is just as much of a buy as Apple. I just hope they have better customer service than they had in the past.

  • Apple Valuations: Still at Risk
While it is true, how much of this is factored into the stock price already? The past few quarters have seen an upswing before earnings that beat the market. While AAPL had a few days it beat the market, it overall has been keepig pace. We may see a sell off tomorrow non the less, but this will be the bottom for AAPL if it see's it at all. It will all depend on current quarter earnings, which could be as high as 1.25 or higher, and next quarters estimates, which is really the BIG question mark.
Investors should also note that the iPhone a year from now will contribute much much more to earnings along with hopefully a "non recessionary" holiday season... and oh, at least Barron's thinks that this whole recession thing is way overblown.

  • Is Apple's New MacBook Affordable Enough?
Considering the new features the new price points are very good. A $700-800 Macbook with the new feature would probably devastate margins. The new frame itself has to make it by far the most durable solid notebook ever and is unlikely to be copied by others, or at least not combined with a price cut. Dell, HP would have to raise prices to do the Macbooks new features.
Also, don't be surprised if the 10 mil goal has not been reached by earnings release. Rumors on Apple ALL YEAR, have turned out to be just that!! That's why people sell the news, because it's not news, it's LIES!! EMEI data is intriguing, and I hope it's true, but should be approached with caution.

  • Apple's iPhones: 10 Million and Counting?
Apple has been a rebel to the market lately. I am hoping that this is not just a short pop, but perhaps a signal that the bottom is here. I really thought we would finally rally today on the overall market, oil prices falling is VERY GOOD FOR THE CONSUMER! The days not over, hopefully no late freefall, but a late rally. If we freefall today, I am jumping in as a buyer.

  • The Year of the Bear
20% unemployment might help us to build more factories and build our own products. Modern factories are not the sweatshops of yesterday. Most work is machine driven, not hand. China has enough wealth now to do fine without us. I know, a bit hyproctical because Apple makes much of their products overseas. I do hope the "rumor" of an American Apple factory is true(highly doubt it), and that it "somehow" lowers costs or does not raise them. But think if an iPod cost $219 instead of $199 because it was made here, it wouldn't stop me from buying, it would encourage me, but maybe not all people would see it that way.
    Interesting point Philly.
Russia should definetly be considered, and guess who's their neighbor?

  • iPhone Sales Drastically Surpass Q4 Consensus; Apple Reaches 10m Goal
This estimate may be based on shaky data, but at least it is not an outright false rumor! There is actual logic in the estimate unlike many other bad stories, yet it was hard to bump into this story today. But if some 10 year old kid posts on Myspace that Steve Job's had a heart attack, it makes headline news.
Well thanks for trying Zaky/Muller, and I hope the data is accurate!

  • Cash Position Best for Apple Investor
People are certainly in the Halloween holiday spirit right now. Everyone is all dressed up scary, flailing there hands around, and going "wooooooooooooo&q... and "BOO!"
Sure times are bad right now, but never underestimate the media's flare for drama.
The people that have the most cash are going to want the best price to get back in. These people will be dressed the scariest and screaming the loudest.

  • Steve Jobs' Fake Heart Attack, Courtesy of CNN
Agreed! If there is a trail to this person's computer, then it needs to be followed and they need to be prosecuted! There needs to be a firm stance against corruption right now!!
Also agreed with deasys! While I would use the word "stupid", I would say that the rumors are done, gone, kaput, leave Jobs alone!
    Oh, OH! This just in!!!!
STEVE JOB'S CAN NOT PRODUCE!! Reports and spy photos show Job's buying Exlax in an obvious attempt to relieve constipation that was not revealed to shareholders!
Oh, in case you're too stupid, I made that up =P

FULL DISCLOSURE: Getting reamed in the butt by AAPL stock.

  • Five Reasons RIMM Will Continue to Fall
This article is not necessarily true. And Motorola is a better comparison. They had an awesome product, "at the time", but was not able to keep innovating. There is a lot of pressure when you are at the top like RIM and Apple to keep people willing to pay the extra money for their top end phones. If RIM and Apple do fall into the trap mentioned in this article, then someone else will come along and have that next "must have no matter the cost" phone. Apple and RIM both have the cash to keep innovating through this crisis, even though sales may "not accelerate as fast" for a bit.

  • Jonathan Ive: More Valuable to Apple than Steve Jobs?
Yes, Google does not build the phone and will not be in that business, however they will probably not get the opportunity to put their platform on a phone as nice as an iPhone. They will get the opportunity to eat up precious bandwidth with their ads on iPhone/RIMM wannabes(yes giving RIMM props for once). As for me, as soon as my contract is up, I am getting an iPhone that is being protected from unnecessary applications and ads from Apple's scrutiny of 3rd part software, which I applaud. I HATE what ads have done to the internet! I get so frustrated with them sometimes that I disable Java, but then I got to YouTube.... DOH!! *wonders if Apple has a YouTube style site* Oh, and now RIMM is partaking in the annoying full page ads that you have to click "continue to page" to get to the link that I thought I was originally clicking on!! Please Apple, do not do these type of ads!! EVER!!
