What If GM files Chapter 11 and drops the UAW an Pension program ?
Some will be hurt by this, But hundreds of Thousands could do better in the long run.

Vanda's Schizophrenia Drug Goes Down for the Last Time

I find it strange that the FDA wont allow VANDA to put iloperidone on the market after being shuffled from one company to another over the past 10 years, That seems like enough time has past to say its safe. You would think that some studies were being done when this first came out. I guess close or the same is not good enough when it comes to medicine.

Auto Industry Business Model Needs a Major Overhaul

That could be true, Look at when all of the fuel efficient cars came out around 1974 fuel ration time., But after years went by we went back to big trucks and SUVS. This could be a cycle.
Except for to much foreign oil.

Maybe theses factorys should keep a closer eye on whats going on, The SUV market started to die and they have nothing on the drawing board ??. Now it,s going to be a couple of years before they can get a car on the dealers lot. And what are people going to want or interested in. ethanol, hydrogen, battery cell ???

More Bad News for the Anti-Ethanol Crowd

How about a few cars that are electric , a few hydrogen, a few ethanol could make a huge difference.
And if we were to drill our own oil.
Maybe we can keep our money here in the USA..

Majority of Americans Support Ethanol

We can grow the amount of corn needed for food and fuel,
When i was a kid we would grow hundreds of acres of corn than the goverment would give us a set price to not harvest it and let it rot in the fields so the market would not be flooded with supply and keep the cost up. We just need to get back on track,
Someone or something is stopping this.

Majority of Americans Support Ethanol

We need to find other sources of fuel..... Be it battery cell, hydrogen, ethanol. Lets here some other idea,s. Our maybe we can sell more of our country off to these countrys that hold our hands while we get off of this "crack" oil..

How I Plan to Trade My Depressed GM Stock

I think your right GM will make a come back, But i think there going to drop a little lower in the market, The bad thing is they have nothing on the table SUV'S are dead and the truck market is slow, They waited to long and now they are closing most of there truck-suv plants,They dont have a desent car to sell. Maybe Saturns will support them untill they get back on there feet. I would buy GM stock if i had any money " but i cant sell a car " !!!

What Does a Hold Rating Really Mean?

If you bought GM stock at $15.00 and now its $11.00 would you not hold it untill they come back to life ? Why sell for a loss.

Is VeraSun a Good Buy?

I still think this is a good hold stock if you buy it low, The flooding may have hurt these companys but the demand is growing. Iam going to hang on to this one and see what happens.

3M (MMM) -- The moment this stock starts yielding 5%, I'm a buyer. Until then, keep your powder dry.

Bearish Calls:

Computer Sciences (CSC) -- This is a company that was going to be bought, but they passed up the chance. Now I don't want to buy it."
Annaly Mortgage (NLY) -- I think this is a business model that needs to borrow money. Definitively do not buy."
Northrop Grumman (NOC) -- You can't own the defense stocks right now. If I had to own one, I'd look at Lockheed Martin (LMT) with its good dividend.
