  • Is the Market for Oil Reinflating?
When oil was at $147 per barrel, everyone denied that speculation was the cause. Now that is has dropped to half that price in a couple of months how can any sane person agrue that case. The worldwide demand for oil may have declined a bit in recent weeks, but not 50%. I am as sure as the author, that the price of oil will rise again as liquidity begins to flow back into energy.

  • Exxon Mobil: Bull or Bear?
Oil and gas seem to be an addiction affecting 100 percent of the world population. Certainly there will be cycles of demand as economies fluctuate and people and governments try to find alternative ways to feed their thirst for heat, transportation and manufacured products. Its hard to imagine that Exxon won't continue to be a standout in this industry and continue to grow and make a lot of money for its investors for quite a few years to come. In some respects oil is like tobacco in the 1950's and 60's. Some day will oil will certainly come to the end of its heyday, but hopefully Exxon will be in the forefront of the alternative. In the meantime we can enjoy the fruits, and I for one will hold Exxon as a key part of my portfolio for a few more years.

  • The 'Peak Oil' Myth: New Oil Is Plentiful
I hate it when people throw facts at me, it doesn't leave me much wiggle room, but I will try. The new oil finds my be fact or not. in any case they are deeper and otherwise more expensive to derive liquid petroleum. As for Global warmng, I have always been a doubter of man's contribution, but I still believe we should take reasonable steps to minimize the use of fossil fuels. Solar energy is one of the few tecnological and efficiant ways of achieving this.

  • NII Holdings: Still Plenty of Opportunity
I hope you are right, as I agree with most points. I bought nihd at $37.00 and am thinking of buying more at the next dip. Will we see $89 - $100 this year? I can only hope.

  • A Missed Opportunity in Canadian Solar
Yes to all. After much hand wringing I flipped a coin about a month ago and bought Trina; I should have bought both. I still think TSL is a good value, and worry about jumping into CSIQ at this point.

  • Solar Power Continues to Shine
Solar power, unlike wind power, sees to benenfit from continueing technology improvements in Photovoltaic and polysilicon technology development. I can't see where there is much to be gained from windmill technology that can equal potential gains in solar technology. Look at microprocessors and other computer related gains over the past 20 years.
