• Mac vs. PC vs. Gold
No that I think about it more, if everybody took 'delivery' of their 'gold' the effect would be no different than a run on the bank in a fiat system because there are more issuances of paper gold than there is real gold. There is no difference.
And buying gold at this price doesn't make sense either because you would be buying at an inflated 'bubble' price so that if the worst were to come true, much like your house you bought at the top of the real estate bubble, the gold you would be holding be worth less in real terms than when you bought it.

• Mac vs. PC vs. Gold
But if there are 140 oz of 'paper gold' for every ounce of 'real gold' how is that different than fiat??? That actually is bubble-ish because the extra issuance of 'paper gold' has effected the fundamental value of the 'real gold'

• Appetite for Risk? Buy Some RIMM
You did not mention that the iPhone's use of Microsoft's ActiveSync technology basically makes RIM's NOC and message servers obsolete. Blackberries cost a business an extra $60 per user per month than the iPhone to maintain like services. By cutting out the extraneous middleman(RIM's NOC) and interfacing directly with the Microsoft Exchange database, which most companies use anyways, not only saves a business significant amounts of money, but introduces less points of failure from a stability and security standpoint.

Tell me businesses are not going to adopt the iPhone 3G please.
