Apple to Experience Market Share Madness

Three years ago my wife told me Apple was the way to go. Always the skeptic, I kept my Compaq with Windows XP just in case. Since that time we have had zero problems. The OS is superior in every way and very intuitive. After the headaches I've had with PC's, I have no plans to ever go back. I don't know if it justifies the stock price but it sure is a great product line. Seeing is believing.

The Music Industry’s New Extortion Scheme

This tax idea is so stupid it almost doesn't even warrant a response. The whole industry needs to be turned upside down, held by it's ankles, and shaken down. Let the free market work with the internet as the perfect distribution model.

Wells Fargo, with a bid valued at $11.4B, expects the purchase to be completed by the end of the year, and denies it will have to absorb assets shakier than originally thought. As the financial crisis continues to worsen, the U.S. government is considering two dramatic steps to turn around, or at least slow, the damage: guaranteeing billions of dollars in bank debt and temporarily insuring all U.S. bank deposits.
