      Why $140/Barrel Crude is Unsustainable
SUPPLY and DEMAND. Basic economics 101.

World demand is going up. Emerging economies boost this. World population is going up by 70 MILLION more people per YEAR !!

      DO THE MATH.

Solution to the Global Petroleum Crisis
      Hurray!!!
Somebody finally comes out with the real reason for our world problems.

Simple economics 101.... supply and demand. Too much demand for limited or finite supply will spell big trouble, especially when it comes to energy, water and food and commodities.

STOP THE BREEDING, folks, or we will suffer..BIG TIME.

Solution to the Global Petroleum Crisis
      Peter Sterling

      Peter,

Get a grip. "You can more easily fix the problem by rapidly increasing domestic oil and gas supplies"

It takes several years to get oil from the ground and into our automobiles. There is no quick way. Best is to conserve by driving less and using smaller and more economical cars. Also… work on alternative energy ...solar wind geothermal and so on.

If you slow down to about 5 MPH you will save about 15% to 20% on gas. At $4.00 per gallon, this could mean a savings of 60 to 80 cents per gallon.

Solution to the Global Petroleum Crisis
      SUPPLY & DEMAND.

LIMITED SUPPLY drives UP. Economics 101.

The financial markets speculate the price will go up because of the scarcity relative to demand. If there were an abundance of oil they would speculate lower prices and this is not happening.

I recommend everyone to STOP THE BREEDING, or at least reduce to ONE child per family. More people create increased demand.

India and other thirds world nations have exploding pollutions. The Catholic Church forbids any kind of contraception. Africa is out of control and is starving yet they have needs for more energy. We are going to self destruct. World population is increasing by more than 70 MILLION per year. In the USA, we are increasing by 3 to 4 million people. Uncontrolled immigration with their large families is to blame for this.

Alternative sources are not abundant in the USA… most likely because of our screwed congress which is controlled by BIG OIL which wants NO alternatives until every last drop of oil is sold.

If you want to help reduce the price of oil…..buy less, use less and breed less.

The consequences will be grave. We are seeing the beginnings of it now.

They wont tell you this because the highways will get more congested. Imagine everyone driving at 30mpg; people will be on the highways longer period of time. There are about 3 million more drivers in this country every year. Thanks to immigration and high birthrates. Stop breeding and there will be plenty for everyone. 1 child per family MAX or there will be dire consequences

Oil Will Peak at $150-200 - Barron's Interview
Why not pro-act and reduce the birth rates through contraception and population planning? Why not head off the suffering instead of letting things and react?? I'm baffled as to why world leaders allow this to happen. We need a balance between man and his environment. We will eventually go too far and even technology will not bail us out.

Adjusted for Labor Force Growth, Today's Jobless Claims Are Below Average
Keep in mind that our population is increasing by 3 to 4 million per year, and the labor force continues to compete for limited jobs. This keeps wages down. How nice. We need to reduce immigration and births because they are the main reason we are in trouble. You can grow the economy indefinitely to accommodate increasing populations. But employers love this because wages tend to stay low.

Initiate a population policy and drastically reduce immigration. Other wise the consequences will be grave.

      Any questions?

No one mentions the increase in world demand due to world population growth by 70 MILLION per year.

We need a population policy or we will outstrip supply of energy. These newcomers need food, water and energy.

Who will have the balls to mention this. If we do not curtail our numbers we will struggle with energy, food and water. No way to live. We need a balance.

Pain at the Pump: It's a Dollar Crisis, Not an Oil Crisis
Someone bluntly said "If you can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em".
Basically, that's they way it is. If there is not enough to go around for everyone then who should be the ones who flourish. It's basically Darwinism. I'm middle class, no neo con here, but I do understand the laws of supply and demand.

People can't expect society to support them and their families when they never had the means to support themselves and contribute and pay taxes. Or, don't buy an SUV and expect society to fuel and maintain it when you can only afford a jalopy.

I agree that those who work hard and advance themselves should reap rewards. Those who labor and go home to a six pack and TV will never advance. And when they breed they will only pass on the tradition to their offspring.

Increasing world demand by the shear increase in population pressure on prices. Th old law of supply and demand. In this country the liberals are going for more programs for the less fortunate. It's the less fortunate that keep breeding and keep increasing their lot. If we don't curtail world population growth we will be doomed. Resources are limited and we all want a part of them.

Stop the breeding. Remember Easter Island and the Mayans.
