How to Take Advantage of Cameco's Shopping Spree
fxtrader, do you really think that the author of this article is going to tell you where they're investing based on this thesis? C'mon, please. Follow the bread crumbs that Cameco has left in the junior sector or draw some conclusions of your own. I agree with the thesis of this essay, but surely Hathor is not the best the author can do! I believe that UEX is a potential acquistion, as could be URG or URE. In the exploration sector, who knows but if you figure out where Cameco itself is already invested, that would be a good place to start.

Frank Barbera: Precious Metals Heading to All-Time Highs
PAUL&SHARK, why such a hater? Guess you don't understand something as simple as Net Asset Value. Even at $800 gold and $13 silver, the companies mentioned in this article are valued at some crazy fractions of NAV. I suppose you'd prefer the financials which are still valued well in excess of NAV?

Frank Barbera is one of the best technicians out there discussing the market. Don't be so dismissive. Also, learn how to articulate in English if you wish to carry on discussions in the language.

First Solar Looking Good - Collins Stewart
Further to Wayfarer's point, FSLR still has an unproven track record when it comes to the lifespan of their panels. In fact first generation CdTe panels were notorious for how quickly they degraded. My suspicion is that Ahearn will fly the coop long before those chickens come home to roost.

Energy Use Per GDP Unit by Country
Interesting analysis, and worthy of further investigation. Perhaps too simplistic to try and boil it down to ETF/CEF investing strategies.

RBC Analyst: Low Uranium Prices Could Turn Away Investors
This seems a bit slipshod, or worse disingenuous, on the part of RBC Capital. Less than 10% of the uranium sold goes out on the spot market. Term contracts continue to remain in the $90 range. This is coming from the mouths of Cameco and other uranium miners. If the spot market is such a small component of uranium sales overall, why such a focus on it by the analysts?

      Contradictions in the Solar Market
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder 161624. What's so dirty about nuclear power? It has no emissions. Sure a little waste to attend with, but the dirty little secret about solar is that those panels don't have an unlimited lifetime. There is plenty of waste from solar, albeit perhaps not as toxic (although Cadmium is pretty nasty stuff). The bigger issue is how much capacity can we really expect from a solar setup versus a nuclear power plant. We need all the energy solutions we can implement, so don't go pish-poshing perfectly good solutions like nuclear power. Unfortunately this applies to coal as well.

Converted Organics: Greed, Fear and Greater Fools
Good to see all the longers making passionate arguments for this pig in a poke. Dennis Gartman uses CNBC to talk his book and sell into it. He's a shmuck of the first degree. There is no way to value this company using fundamentals until they prove they can do what they say at the margins they claim. Today was arguably a top on that nasty reversal candlestick. All those longers who bought into the story will hang on until the pain gets to be too great and then sell in a fit of capitulation. My downside target is $5 - $6 range. Much more reasonable than the nutter claiming this is a $50 stock. Maybe in 2007, but not in this market.
